Discover the calm waters of Round Hill Creek on a two hour family kayak tour in 1770, the perfect way to explore this stretch of Queensland coast from the water. Setting off in the morning with an experienced local guide, you and the kids will glide through sheltered mangroves and hidden spots that can only be reached by kayak. Keep your eyes peeled for birds, crabs, fish, dolphins and stingrays, and hand each child a bird and marine life identification slate so they can name everything they spot along the way.
The stable, easy to paddle kayaks are made for families and first time paddlers, so even the youngest crew members can join in with confidence. Try a spot of fish feeding when conditions allow, then pull up at a secluded beach or sandbar for morning tea, complete with homemade biscuits, tea, coffee and juice for the kids.
