What you can expect
Book a tandem skydive over the Abel Tasman at 10,000 feet to enjoy one of the most impressive views of New Zealand. With the comfort and reassurance of your professional tandem skydive instructor by your side, you will experience the ultimate adrenaline rush as you leap from the plane and skydive back to the drop zone. Begin the skydive experience with a safety briefing before you get dressed and harnessed up to tackle the skydive. Skydivers who book the 10, 000 feet dive will enjoy a 10 minute scenic flight before taking the plunge. The skydive will give adrenaline enthusiasts a 20 second free fall before the parachute opens for a 5 minute flight back down to earth over pristine rivers, beaches and snow capped mountains. This is a great introductory skydive for those who may be nervous about tackling a skydive at a higher altitude. However, once you take your first skydive over the Abel Tasman it will be hard to wipe the smile off your face and will be asking if you can go again.
Professional DVD and photo packages are available so you can relive the experience and prove to your friends and family that you skydived over the Abel Tasman. Free transfers can be organised for skydivers from Nelson and must be confirmed at the time of booking. If you are an adrenaline junkie or you simply have always wanted to try skydiving then this is the activity for you. - Your flight, enjoy the scenery and relax as we fly you to altitude in our Pilatus Porter PC-6 aircraft
- Your jump, the free fall begins as you exit the plane
- You will experience the rush of leaving the aircraft in flight and feel the wind as you travel at speeds of 200kph (120mph) until your parachute opens
- Under canopy, You’ll experience the contrasting quietness of the parachute flight and the sheer joy of floating over paradise
- Take in the views over the ocean, beaches and mountains of three national parks
- Your landing, we return you safely and lightly to the ground right in front of our drop zone-you won’t be able to wipe the smile off your face all day!
- Allow 1.5-3 hours for the experience however sometimes it can take longer

- Closed in shoes are a must, sneakers or runners that lace up firmly are preferable (no hooks)

- Weight limit of 100kgs/ 220lbs / 15.5 stone for every tandem passenger
- You need to be a generally healthy human being with an average fitness level
- You can bring observers along, there is seating and tables available and you are welcome to bring snacks or lunch
- Parental or guardian consent is required for anyone under 18. Children under 12 should be evaluated on an individual basis
- Make sure to capture your amazing jump on camera! - Add on a camera package by contacting the supplier directly after booking or organise on the day.
