What you can expect
Discover two of New Zealand’s most iconic destinations in one unforgettable day on this fully guided tour from Auckland to Hobbiton and Te Puia Geothermal Park. Travel through Waikato countryside before stepping into the Shire on a two-hour and 30-minute Hobbiton movie set tour. Visit 44 hobbit holes, explore the gardens, and hear behind-the-scenes stories from the films, finishing with a complimentary drink at the famous Green Dragon Inn.
Your adventure continues at Te Puia Geothermal Park in Rotorua, where a 90-minute guided tour reveals mud pools, steaming vents, and the powerful Pōhutu Geyser. Learn about Māori culture at the National Māori Arts School and see traditional architecture, carving, and weaving brought to life. To finish off, you will go on a Rotorua city highlights tour, before heading back to Auckland, with surprise stops on the way. This tour combines movie magic, nature, and cultural discovery into a full-day journey you’ll never forget.
