We bought the tickets the night before, and the process was convenient and easy to use. We just showed the QR code to the reception, and they were very nice. The place is worth visiting, and the tickets included the mine tour, which was great. We spent a few hours there.

It was such a fun day out with my family! We always have so much fun when we go. The staff are incredible and so good at their job, so entertaining when they are in character. There is just so much to do and see there and you learn so much. Can't wait to go back again.
What you can expect
Sovereign Hill is a living museum that presents the story of Ballarat during the gold rush era. Back in 1851 when Gold was first discovered here, a 'gold rush' was triggered and Ballarat suddenly grew from a tranquil pastoral town to a provincial city attracting dreamers searching for a piece of gold.
Sovereign Hill's Outdoor Museum covers 15 hectares of a former gold mining site bringing this historic time period to life through a living township. With over 18 scheduled activities taking place throughout the day, you can find yourself panning for real gold, witnessing musket firing, and seeing boiled lollies, wheels, and candles being made right in front of your eyes. Sovereign Hill is a great family friendly activity for all ages and no doubt you'll walk away with a better sense of Australian history and life in the 1800's.

- The Diggings Tour: Discover life on the early goldfields with a costumed interpreter.
- The Red Hill Mine Tour: Explore the dark and perilous world of deep lead mining and see the famed "Welcome Nugget" discovered.
- Gold panning: There's genuine gold to be found in The Diggings, and it's yours to keep! Make sure you stop by the Waterloo store and buy a gold bottle to safeguard your prized treasure.
- Musket Firing: Our Troopers will tell you about law and order on the goldfields and show you how to load and shoot a musket.
- Sweet Making: Learn how to make traditional boiling candy and try some at the end of the lesson.
- Gold Pour: Pure gold is melted to 1,000 degrees Celsius and poured into a mould to form a pure Gold Ingot.
- Candle making: Be mesmerised by the alluring fragrances of our 19th century candle factory and watch our candle makers at work.
- Bowling: Set up the skittles and try your hand at 9-pin bowling.
- Wheelwrighting: Watch our skilled craftsmen create hubs, spokes, and carriage wheels using traditional 19th century methods.

- During the Victorian school holidays, the attraction will be open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Sunday
- A Ticket is non-refundable, including for inclement weather. If you cannot attend on the booked date and advise us at least 48 hours before your scheduled arrival, a date change may be offered at the supplier's discretion.
- If Sovereign Hill is unable to open due to any other conditions restricting our ability to operate, then a full refund for the Ticket will be processed
- Tickets cannot be exchanged for credit or cash, transferred into another name or sold to another party.
- No- shows (failure to attend on the day without prior contact) will result in forfeiture of the booking.

Best experience ever, enjoyed our day out at the Sovereign Hill, cheaper then buying at the gate, definitely worth the money and had a very enjoyable day out and would highly recommend to buy this online to anyone who is planning to visit to Sovereign Hill.
