What you can expect

A visit to the Willie Creek Pearl Farm is a must do WA attraction to include when you visit Broome. Just 1 hour’s drive from Broome through the striking Kimberley region, the famous award winning facility is open to the public and is a fantastic trip from Broome. On arrival, be guided through the process of modern cultured pearl farming on an interactive tour of the farm. The tour includes a mesmerising cruise through the crystal blue waters of Willie Creek where you will see live oysters in their natural environment.

You’ll also experience a live pearl harvest and learn about the process and care taken to choose the best pearls to transform into beautiful pieces of jewellery. There is ample time to browse in the showroom after the tour. The Willie Creek Pearl Farm Tour last 5 hours including travel time, and includes a morning or afternoon tea. The tour was very informative and I learned so much about the process of pearl farming.

The whole tour was a great way to learn about the workings of a family run pearling farm. Our team leader John was very informative and was so lovely and funny. A fantastic tour and morning tea included and worth every penny. Try the pearl meat at the cafe, it is well worth it.

We drove out, best to have a 4 wheel drive. We went early and had lunch there.

Loved the tour, interesting information, the boat ride was great as we got to see a croc. Nice they provide afternoon tea. We had lunch out there as we went early. Beautiful views of the water. Relaxing place to sit. The oyster process was interesting. Our guides were great and humorous.

A must do tour in Broome set amongst some amazing scenery!

Our tour guide Maya was an absolute delight and wealth of knowledge. She added a side of humour to the tour along with answering our questions. One of the most enjoyable experiences set amongst some breathtaking landscape. The Willie Creek Gang are friendly, helpful and accommodating to all ages. Definitely one of the things to see and do in Broome!
