Next, is a 1 hour guided tour inside the Bundaberg Rum distillery to see the giant Molasses wells that can hold up to 5 million litres of Molasses, view the distillation and fermentation process in action and then finish at the Barrel House to hear how the rums are aged and matured for a minimum of 2 years. - The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is a fully-operational working site where highly flammable areas are present. This means:
- You can't smoke anywhere near the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, including all car parks. We have safe smoking areas marked, so please follow these instructions carefully
- Due to the risk of ignition, we don’t allow anything with a battery on the tour with you. This includes your camera, phone, and car keys. We have some lockers available for use free of charge prior to joining the tour if you need them
- If you have a medically necessary device such as a hearing aid or an insulin pump, please let us know in advance
