Great experience all round. Horses were calm and looked well cared for.

Horses looked well-cared for and were calm - great for beginner riders. Staff were friendly and organised. No time was wasted standing around. Staff took photos and shared them with us at the end of the experience. We were lucky to see a pod of dolphins surfing while we rode down the beach. Great experience.

A wonderful experience, beautiful horses, a gorgeous beach

My daughter and I loved the horse beach ride. The horses were so beautiful and gentle, my daughter had never ridden before but we both felt so secure in the hands of these horse-loving people. The walk along the beach was so picturesque and we walked away feeling so glad we did it.

What you need to know

Inclusions
  • 1 hour or 1.5 hour beach ride along isolated 7 Mile beach
Highlights
  • Watch dolphins play and sea eagles soar whilst riding on beautiful, trained horses
  • Enjoy the fabulous sun, sand and surf that Byron is famous for on horse back
Time
  • The beach ride that lasts 1 hour begins at 10:00 AM, while the 1.5 hour ride starts at 11:00 AM. Times do depend on availability
  • Beach ride is not available on weekends and NSW public holidays
Location
  • Make your way to Lennox head and head to the main village. Follow the road to the Lake Ainsworth Caravan Park. Keep following the road past the Caravan Park. Take 1st on left (opposite the Surf Lifesaving Club). Follow the road to very end

  • You will need long pants and boots on all rides. All rides are fully supervised

Very accommodating to all levels of riding

Very accommodating to all levels of riding. The horses are great. The instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly. The scenery was awesome. Would recommend this adventure
