Embark on an unforgettable 2-day 4WD tag-along tour and explore the iconic locations of the world’s largest sand island, K’gari (formerly Fraser Island). Traverse the sands of 75 Mile Beach to reach stunning lakes, creeks and rainforests. With a dedicated guide leading the way, venture north in your 4WD to one of the many freshwater creeks for morning tea. Behold the SS Maheno Shipwreck while your guide shares its fascinating history. After a delicious lunch, wrap up the first leg of your adventure at Eli Creek for a refreshing splash in the crystal-clear water. Retreat to your beachside campsite managed by the Butchulla (K'gari's First Nations People) for a night of stargazing, sharing drinks and laughter with other adventurous travellers. Continue your enchanting journey south to Eurong for a serene 1.8km walk alongside the picturesque Wanggoolba Creek. At long last, drive to the famous Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie), breathtaking with its pristine sand and glistening blue water. All camping equipment, meals, 4WD hire and more are included to ensure a hassle-free experience.

- Day 1: Rainbow Beach – 75 Mile Beach – Eli Creek – SS Maheno Shipwreck
- Meet your group in Rainbow Beach for a safety briefing before boarding the ferry to K’gari (Fraser Island). Once on the island, jump into your 4WD convoy and begin exploring the world's largest sand island.
- Drive along the famous 75 Mile Beach, stopping at some of K’gari’s most iconic attractions. Visit the historic SS Maheno Shipwreck, learn about its fascinating past and enjoy incredible photo opportunities. Cool off in the crystal-clear waters of Eli Creek before continuing through the island's spectacular coastal landscapes.
- As the day winds down, arrive at your private beachside campsite. Enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers, share stories around camp and settle in for a memorable night under the stars.
- Day 2: Central Station – Pile Valley – Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie) – Rainbow Beach
- Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast before setting off for another day of adventure.
- Travel inland to explore the ancient rainforests of Central Station and Pile Valley, where towering Satinay trees grow directly from the sand. Walk alongside the beautiful Wanggoolba Creek and discover the island's unique natural and cultural heritage.
- Continue to the breathtaking Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie), famous for its white silica sands and crystal-clear freshwater. Relax, swim and soak up the scenery before enjoying lunch.
- In the afternoon, return to 75 Mile Beach and make your way back to the ferry. Arrive in Rainbow Beach in the late afternoon, bringing your unforgettable K’gari adventure to an end.
- Some drinks are included with dinner, extra alcohol at own expense
- Passengers must be present at departure location Freedom Hostels Rainbow Beach, 20 Spectrum Street, Rainbow Beach, Queensland 4581 no later than 7am for an Island briefing before departure at 9:30am
- Passengers must attend an orientation meeting the day before departure at 5pm

- Any guest wishing to participate in driving during their tour MUST meet all of the following criteria:
- be over the age of 21 years
- have held a full manual drivers license for at least 1 year
- have their national drivers license with them (International driving permits unaccompanied by a national drivers license are invalid)
- Any guests that fail to meet all the above criteria will be ineligible to partake as drivers, however, can still join the tour as a non-driver
- If you elect to participate as a driver on one of our tours, you will be responsible for the safekeeping of the vehicle and any equipment
- Guest will receive a check-in email 7 days prior to departure. Please complete it to reconfirm your booking, indicate if you wish to drive, advise any dietary requirements, and purchase the optional Vehicle Damage Liability Reduction if desired (for drivers only).
- All guests MUST attend a mandatory briefing at 7am, which covers important island and safety information, prior to the departure of their tour. Guests who fail to show for their briefing risk missing their tour and being classed as a 'no show', forfeiting their fare
- The inclusions in this tour may be impacted due to tides and are subject to change
