What you can expect
Head into the Gold Coast hinterland for a 30-minute horse ride made for two, riding alongside your mini-me at Historic Rivermill on the banks of the Coomera River at Mount Nathan. Climb aboard your own gentle Peruvian Paso, a breed known for its smooth, easy-going gait, while your child (aged six and over) rides their own horse right beside you, guided every step of the way by Rivermill's friendly team.
Helmets, equipment and a full safety briefing are all included before you set off, so first-timers feel just as confident as old hands in the saddle. The ride winds through riverside grounds where resident alpacas, goats and pigs roam, with wild platypus and turtles often spotted further along the Coomera. Blending gentle horsemanship, family time and hinterland scenery, this ride is a memorable way to see Mount Nathan together.

- Closed-toe shoes (mandatory)
- Comfortable long pants (mandatory)
- This voucher is for two riders only: one adult and one child (aged 6 years or over)
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance
- A parent or legal guardian must complete a waiver for riders under 18 years of age
- Maximum weight limits apply
- Children ride their own horse while accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Suitable for beginners; no previous riding experience required
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
