Looking to "get your feet wet" with a Gold Coast scuba diving experience? On this tour, you'll head to Wavebreak Island on the Gold Coast for an introduction that's ideal for beginners with absolutely no experience necessary. Your certified instructor will accompany you, showing you the ropes of equipment usage and technique before hitting the water where you'll have the chance to see a variety of marine life - including fish, corals and much more - on offer just off the shore. Get an up-close look at the numerous aquatic creatures and underwater landscape that call this part of the Gold Coast their home, all while in a fun, safe and relaxed environment.

Lasting between 3 and 4 hours, if you've ever wanted to take your first steps towards mastering the art of scuba diving with no extensive commitment necessary, this is the option for you.

Time

Tours depart once daily between 7.30am - 2.00pm from Mariners Cove, Main Beach. Times vary depending on the day and the tides, you will be required to contact the tour operator prior to your day of travel to reconfirm your tour time and hotel pick up time (tour operator contact details are included on your tour voucher)
Pickup is available from selected hotels within the Gold Coast CBD only

If you have booked a hotel

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation tour voucher with complete tour operator details. You will be required to contact the tour operator a minimum of 48hrs prior to your day of travel to reconfirm your hotel pick up time

PADI standards recommend you leave at least 24 hours after your last dive before flying. You can fly, then dive the same day, however not dive then fly

“ Staff were lovely and helpful. Made my son feel very relaxed about his Intro to Scuba Diving. Great location for a first dive. Will be going back to book Open Water Certification. I was allowed on the boat as Observer which was great! My only complaint is I got sunburnt! My fault.

Had a great day team were very experienced and our dive instructor knew her stuff

Had a great day team were very experienced and our dive instructor knew her stuff. Got to see some good fish and some cool artificial reefs. Food would have been nice at the end but in all great day out. Will recommend to friends and family when they visit.

We had an amazing time

We had an amazing time. Staff was helpful, friendly and informative. They took us to a nice spot for beginners where we saw plenty of fish. One instructor to 4 people was a good ratio. We felt very comfortable, had a great time and definitely will be going back. Highly recommended.

Very impressive experience

Very impressive experience. The coach is very nice and picking up service is really good for travellers not familiar with the place. Just the diving time is a little bit short, but as a kick off experience for a novice, it is good and easy to have a try.

Totally enjoyed our intro to scuba diving trip

Totally enjoyed our intro to scuba diving trip! The pick up from the hotel was punctual and welcoming. The crew was professional and friendly. They went through all the safety briefings clearly and brought us to the dive site and we had a great time! Fed fishes underwater and touched some of the marine life. I totally loved the experience and recommend those who have never scuba dived to give it a try.

The coaches are very experienced and friendly

The coaches are very experienced and friendly, especially guided us patiently how to relax and make sure we got every knowledge and skills before the dive. Highly recommended!

As a first time diver it was a good experience and they are very helpful in removing any doubt and fear of diving

As a first time diver it was a good experience and they are very helpful in removing any doubt and fear of diving. All diving equipment had been provided and one need to worry about anything. Though things like flora-fauna, I have seen on television was not that good. Water was also not much clear and less type of fishes and no other coral structure. Overall above average experience.

The staff were all so nice to me

The staff were all so nice to me. As I was not staying in a hotel in Gold Coast, they offered to pick me up at Nerang Station, which was very considerate. The driver, in particular, was so kind and funny. They brought me to an island to do the scuba diving. The weather was not the best for it, but it was still acceptable. There were so many fish down there. But the visibility was not very good and the water was not clear. I was expecting clear blue water and coral but there was not any. Still, I enjoy the experience very much.

The dive was really nice

The dive was really nice. They taught in small group and my mother and I got a tutor. Our tutor is patient and caring. We feel safe with him under the water. You would see a lot of fishes.

I really enjoyed the scuba diving

I really enjoyed the scuba diving. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. And I really appreciated Daniel, the person who took me to the place and brought me back to the hotel, because he was really friendly and helped me enjoy this adventure. I will definitely come back.
