Fabulous Balloon Flight with Go Ballooning
My first-ever hot air ballooning experience was with Go Ballooning in August 2026. What an amazing experience it was!! From booking the flight with the lovely Micaela (Operations Manager), the early morning drive with our great driver Gary to the launch site, to the flight with our awesome pilot Murray, this was a fabulous five-star experience from start to end! Michaela, Gary, Jeremy (from the ground crew) and Murray are a very professional and friendly team, and they made the whole experience so smooth, safe, easy and unforgettable. Due to windy weather conditions on the day, the launch site was from Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim, so we did not fly over GC city & coast. However, the magical flight over the serene hinterland landscape and the glorious sunrise completely made up for this (ballooning over the city & coast next time!!). Driving up to Canungra with the full moon illuminating the sky, a brief stop to enjoy a cup of delicious hot chai tea and arriving at the launch site to see the beautiful red balloon inflated and ready to fly, was exciting! Murray explained the safety protocols and put us at ease, so I felt very comfortable as the flight began. This was a bucket list item for me and the team at Go Ballooning made it a perfect, wonderfully memorable experience along with providing an incredible digital photo and video package of the flight. I highly recommend the balloon flight with Go Ballooning and many thanks to Michaela, Murray, Gary, Jeremy and the entire team for creating this magical experience :-) :-)

- The only walk-in passenger basket on the Gold Coast - If you have any mobility or climbing limitations please call us prior to booking so we can ensure you are booked into the balloon that has easy access doors
- Flight times are planned for up to 1 hour in the air but vary between 40 minutes and 60 minutes depending on the weather
- Flight departure times vary between 3am and 5am depending on the time of the year. Departure times are subject to change depending on the dawn time (you will be required to contact the balloon operator the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time and pick up time)
- Flight times are planned for up to 1 hour in the air but vary between 40 minutes and 60 minutes depending on the weather
- While a flight over Gold Coast City may offer a slightly shorter duration, every moment is packed with unparalleled beauty and wonder.
- Please allow up to 4 hours for the whole hot air balloon experience
- The time will be confirmed by the pilot the night before your flight. We meet approximately 1.5hrs prior to sunrise.
- This experience departs from Main Beach, Surfers Paradise.
- Please meet at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Main Beach, 71 Seaworld Dr, Main Beach, QLD 4217.
- Clothes suitable for walking or hiking is recommended with enclosed shoes. We suggest you also bring a jacket, hat and sunglasses as well as your camera
- As part of the fun adventure, customers are invited to help roll out the air in the balloons. If you do not wish to participate, that is totally fine
- Children need to be 3 years old or over and accompanied by a parent or guardian to fly
- There is no upper age limit. As long as you are fit and healthy with no significant knee, hip or back problems, no recent surgeries or broken bones and you are not currently pregnant, you are fit to fly
- Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 48 hours before you experience takes place. After this period fees may apply and failure to show up to the experience at all may result in forfeiting the experience.
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- A rebooking fee of $25 will be charged and cancellation fee of $50 with be retained
- It is your responsibility to ensure you have received booking confirmation details of your flight. Please contact the operator immediately after your purchase and the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time and pick up time
- For your information, complete Tour Operator Information including contact details are included on your tour voucher
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on the day of the tour. Vouchers presented on a mobile device are also accepted
- Availability was accurate at the time of booking however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control. We strongly suggest reconfirming your booking with the tour operator within 24 hours of making your booking and prior to making other travel arrangements
