We had a fantastic time with GKI boat hire!
Theo is a really chill very knowledgable guy who obviously cares about his customers, his business and the island. We’d actually misread the website and turned up hoping 4 people could fit to a boat (heads up each boat holds 3 max) and he was super chill, did us a great deal and went above and beyond to be accommodating and make our day great. He gives a very accessible and thorough safety briefing and the boats are easy to drive. He came out on his own boat and checked on us a few times throughout the day then left us to explore the island as we wished. We hired for the full day (7 hours, plenty to see the north and south of the island with plenty of time to moor up and swim where we pleased). Would highly recommend everything about our experience with Theo and GKI boat hire.

Jumping from Beach to beach snorkelling was fantastic and made it to long beach with nobody else. I couldn’t recommend this more it really made our visit special so Thankyou.

- Please arrive shortly before your scheduled session so your safety induction can be completed on time to maximise your time on the water
- Please meet at Fisherman's Beach, Great Keppel Island, The Keppels, QLD 4700. Walk right along the beach after disembarking the ferry and look for the blue catamaran shelter. The brightly coloured hire boats will be waiting on the sand ready for your adventure.

- Maximum of three participants
- Maximum combined 217kg weight limit applies
- No boat license is required
- A $500 refundable security deposit is collected on the day
- A safety briefing is mandatory
- Boats must remain within designated operating areas as shown on the map provided
- Restricted areas must be avoided at all times
- No alcohol or drugs while operating
- In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled
- Boats must be returned to the beach at the agreed time to allow for safety checks and preparation for the next hire
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Theo today and using one of his excellent boats.
He was very thorough in explaining the how to and safety features. We loved his care for the reef and sea creatures. Not many snorkeling operators make the effort to reduce the impact they have on the coral reefs and environment. We had a wonderful time on the water and Theo monitored the weather for us with updates throughout. We would highly recommend.
Had such a fun day out with the poly craft with 3 of my friends, such an awesome experience.
Theo kindly showed us his favourite fishing spots and they absolutely did not disappoint! Definitely a must do on the Island. The boats were easy to use and so much fun for a day out. Highly recommend!! 🎣🚤
