Hop aboard during humpback whale season and enjoy a laid-back day out to Great Keppel Island with a whale watching lunch cruise. Departing from Keppel Bay Marina, this three-hour adventure cruises through beautiful, clear waters where whales pass by on their annual migration. Running at 11am every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from August to September, you’ll have a great chance to spot breaching whales, tail slaps, and even mums swimming alongside their calves.
Tuck into a delicious light lunch onboard as you take in the scenery and admire the surrounding islands. Enjoying it all as the friendly crew shares stories and insights, making each sighting even more special. Amazing experience
From booking through to the experience it was 10/10. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating making the experience fantastic. We had a great time and were lucky to see the whales up close! We will definitely be back.

Amazing
The weather was great and the boat ride was smooth. The crew was very helpful as I use a walker and have some health issues. We saw a humpback 🐋 and her calf. Some of the time she was just resting on the water with the calf beside her, and other times she was breathing. The lunch they served was a bowl of rice salad with chicken and vegetables. We spent 2 hours on Great Keppel before catching the boat home. It was a five star day.

Very unpleasant experience
Very small vessel, could not hear the crew, very choppy waters and captain was going so fast on the way out, the customers on the back deck were drenched. This was totally unnecessary as the trip back was slower and more enjoyable. No whales, crew too busy on there phones to even be bothered to look for them. Was late back due to collecting a whole other boatload of people from GKI, who proceeded to take all the seats from the paying customers! Would not recommend, use another provider.
