The ultimate nature-based attraction in the lush hinterland of Victoria, the Otway Fly Treetop Walk will let you stroll along the highest and longest walk of its kind in the world located 2.5 hours from Melbourne and 1.5 hours from Geelong. Walk through verdant rainforests 30 metres above the forest floor surrounded by nature that grants great views of all the surrounds and culminates in the Spiral Tower at the end of the walkway that provides an awesome vantage point to gaze out into the views in the distance.

A great day out for both individuals and families with kids alike - with a special "Prehistoric Pass" designed with children in mind - the Otway Fly treetop walk takes around 1 hour to complete and provides a walk that is right in the fresh air, great sights, and pure natural tranquillity.

We re-visited Otway Treetop Walk after nearly 10 years and I must say it is still a great place to visit. We were with Kids so did not take the flying fox experience but will surely return for that with few more big kids. If you have never been there definitely a must place to visit.
Nice family trip if you're looking for an easy paced walk to explore the forest

It's a nice experience for the family. There's quite a lot of walking involved, from the carpark to the visitor centre and then to the actual tree top walk. There's an enchanted forest adventure and activity that my 6-year-old loved. It's a nice experience, however, if you're a regular hiker then you can get the same or better views for free, so this walk wouldn't be something wow. For a family trip or a more relaxing type of walk then this is great. While it's not one of the best walks out there type thing, it certainly doesn't have that wow factor, it is a good experience and still worth enjoying.

Beautiful. Something different. The tower in the middle was very high.

It was amazing being high up in the trees. Good strong platforms/bridges to walk across. It was a longer walk than expected, and you probably walk a kilometre in and out that doesn't include being in the trees. Staff were lovely. However, bathroom facilities were not working properly. The biggest surprise was that it was more expensive to purchase tickets through Experience Oz. It has been a few years since I needed to purchase tickets, and experience was always cheaper. The reason I ended up purchasing tickets through Experience Oz was because they offer After Pay. The zip lining would have been fun too but tickets were $100 more on this site than directly with otway fly and they sold out quickly due to school holidays.

Awesome price on Experience Oz

Awesome price on Experience Oz, much cheaper than on the door. Didn’t need to print the voucher and could book for on the day (we just called ahead to check). The walk was really cool, you get a really good birds-eye view of the rainforest, nice thing to do whilst on the Great Ocean Road trip!

Received my ticket straight away

Received my ticket straight away, and tickets were confirmed. I received tickets with great discount. It is worth checking before buying from attraction website. The ticket had a note mentioning that I may have to call the site to confirm ticket confirmation.

Amazing walk through the canopy level of the rainforest

Amazing walk through the canopy level of the rainforest. Cutely decorated with some fairies along the way. Discounted tickets with Experience Oz which didn’t break the bank account made it more enjoyable. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Will definitely be back again.

We left Melbourne at 8 am drove to Torquay and along the Great Ocean Road taking in the sights

We left Melbourne at 8 am drove to Torquay and along the Great Ocean Road taking in the sights. Just before Anglesea, we took a road inland to the Otway Fly. Arriving at around 1 pm we took the short stroll to the reception and headed on in. The walk took us approximately 1hr and was excellent well worth the drive! There was a stairway that takes you above the tree tops witch was definitely the highlight. At the end of the walk, there was a small stream and we spotted a wild brown trout just soaking up the sun!

My family and I did the Otway Fly Treetop Walk

My family and I did the Otway Fly Treetop Walk. We had a voucher - all went smoothly at the reception desk - just showed the printed voucher and got our tickets. Easy! The walk was great, we really enjoyed it. You need to go upstairs to get to the tower, but the elevation is quite easy. The view from the top is wonderful.

When I started the booking process initially

When I started the booking process initially, it was giving me an error that all tickets have been booked for the day we wanted to go for the Otway Fly Treetop Walk (although there aren’t limited number of tickets for that attraction). However, after refreshing the webpage, it worked out the issue and was able to give me the required tickets - $10 cheaper than on the official website!

I went to the Otway Fly Treetop Adventure for a day trip

I went to the Otway Fly Treetop Adventure for a day trip. It is a wonderful experience within a beautiful rainforest. There are many different types of fauna and flora to see. You start with a downhill walk to the treetop walk. It is quite steep but if you have mobility issues a free courtesy shuttle is provided. The treetop walk is mostly pram friendly. You can get the pram up to the tall viewing tower but after that the is a lot of stairs. If you're able bodied then you can bump the pram down the stairs otherwise you would have to walk back the way you came. I would recommend doing the remaining area of the rainforest as it is amazing. A baby would be best taken in a carrier if possible. Overall I would highly recommend this experience even with a young family.

Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again.
This is a must-see attraction for those driving along the Great Ocean Road. Allow an hour for a peaceful stroll along the walkway. A buggy service is available between the Treetop Walk and the Visitor Centre.
