The Hervey Bay whale watching season runs from mid-July to October and an aquatic whale watching cruise is the best way to witness these majestic giants.
Hervey Bay whale watching cruises are available twice per day during the whale watching season at 8.30am and 1.30pm with a morning tea and afternoon tea served aboard the cruise. Passengers are also entitled to discounted dining at The Boat Club cafe and restaurant following their Hervey Bay whale watching cruise.

- Bookings cancelled within 24hrs of commencement incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- Bookings cancelled within 7 days of commencement incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Whale Watching Experience
Great day, an initial explanation from our skipper of how the morning would unfold, with no guarantees, but confident we would see something. This was a smart move & realistic. Not sure if it was a good day or if this is normal but we were very fortunate to see many pods & some came very close to our boat & put on a show. I got sick of trying to capture that one in a million photo, so just decided to kick back & store it in the memory bank - for me that made the day far more enjoyable watching these amazing friendly mammals put on a show for us. The crew & skipper were also very good & informative.

Wonderful Whale Watching! 🐋
An amazing morning out on the water. Plenty of seating available onboard. We had an abundance of whale sightings, and some dolphins as an added bonus. There was no rush to move on or to return. Everything was well paced. Crew & staff were great to interact with, and also well informed. Thoroughly enjoyed & can highly recommend, this experience. Thanks!
