Climb aboard the historic Thomson Belle paddlewheeler for a four-hour sunset cruise in Longreach. As you float along the peaceful Thomson River, watch the setting sun splash the sky with rich outback colours while your skipper shares stories of the region’s history, wildlife and legendary characters. After the cruise, settle in beside a crackling campfire for a hearty two-course stockman’s dinner, complete with billy tea and warm damper drizzled in golden syrup. Enjoy bush poetry, outback storytelling and a spectacular sound and light show celebrating the adventures of Captain Starlight, all beneath a sky full of stars. Very entertaining .
What a great night, the paddle wheeler ride was great. I loved the beef stew and mash. I’m not really into poetry but I found the bush poetry very entertaining. Everything was really well presented.
