A day full of exploration from art to wildlife awaits in this Murray River and Kyabram Fauna Park adventure, which will bring you closer to local culture and arts. Start off with a visit to the wildlife park, home to many iconic Australian species and unique ones like the dinosaur-looking cassowary. Take the chance to get up close with lazy wombats, jumping kangaroos and eating koalas, a lovely photo opportunity too. Continue your journey to the lovely river port of Echuca, where the heritage paddle steamer is awaiting your arrival. Cruise down the river at a steady pace and watch the red gum forest and striking cliffs go by.
The next stop is one of the most photographed places in Victoria, the art-covered silos of Rochester and Colbinabbin. The enormous paintings are a reflection of local culture and tell stories of the past. End the day inside the Pink Cliffs Reserve and be awe-struck by the beautiful and bright clay formations. Created over a long period of time, minerals accumulated in these layers, now offering a display of pink, orange and gold tones. This experience is an invitation to explore the untamed nature around the Murray River and get up close with typical Australian animals.
