- As the time that the penguins arrive on the beach changes significantly during the year, our return time to Melbourne also varies significantly.
- The tour returns to Melbourne at approximately the following times during the year:
- Nov - Feb: midnight
- March: 11.00pm
- April: 10.00pm
- May - Aug: 9.00pm
- September: 9.30pm
- October: 10.30pm
Departure Location
- The tour departs from outside the Mail Exchange Hote - 688 Bourke Street. We request you are waiting 10 minutes prior for a speedy departure.
Hotel Pickup
- We pickup from the following locations in the Melbourne CBD starting 40 minutes prior to the departure time:
- Mercure Melbourne Southbank - 9 Riverside Quay, Southbank
- Regent Theatre - 191 Collins St, Melbourne
- Her Majesty’s Theatre - 219 Exhibition St, Melbourne
- The pickup must be pre-booked and the time will be confirmed

Cancellation Policy
- 100% cancellation fee applies for tours cancelled within 48 hours of departure. when no notice is given.
- Changes to your booking, including change of date can be made up to 48 before departure free of charge providing availability. No changes can be made within 48 hours of departure; however, you can transfer your booking to another person, and we must be advised of the name change.
- For Private Touring in Melbourne, a cancellation fee of 100% applies for a tour cancelled within 14 days of travel or when no notice is given. Cancellation fees imposed on Explore Australia by our supplier will be passed on.
