Great surf experience, great surf coach
The lesson was great and a good opportunity to meet people.
The group was small which meant we had lots of opportunities to surf. Our instructor Valentine was great at making sure to give you tips to improve after each wave. They had some first aid supplies on hand which was very helpful as I cut my foot and Valentine was great at making sure I was okay.
What you can expect
Experience the thrill of surfing with a lesson on Noosa Beach, one of Australia’s most iconic coastal destinations. Start your session with an easy-to-follow surf safety briefing, where your qualified instructor will walk you through the basics, including better paddling and pop-up techniques. Then, it’s time to hit the water and put theory into practice in gentle, waist-deep waves perfect for beginners. With plenty of encouragement and personalised instruction, you’ll be riding your first waves before you know it.
Your two-hour lesson comes with a soft beginner surfboard, leg rope, and either a wetsuit or rashie. Whether you’re ticking surfing off your bucket list or looking to pick up a new hobby, no prior experience is required, making this fun and relaxed Noosa experience. By the end of the session, you’ll be hooked on surfing and already planning your next ride.

- Options of 1x or 3x two-hour surf lesson
- Soft beginner board, leg-rope, and wetsuit or rashie
- Surf safety information and instruction to suit your skill level
- Available at 10am and 2pm.
- This experience is two hours in duration.
- This experience departs from Go Ride a Wave - Noosa, Claude Batten Dr, Noosa Heads, QLD 4567.
- Recommended age is eight years old
- Children under nine must be accompanied by a parent who is not participating in the lesson, who can come into the water to assist
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience

Learn to Surf at Noosa with Go Ride A Wave. Highly recommend.
It was a fun experience and the kids and I enjoyed thoroughly. Weather wasn't the best as it was raining, swell was good. The instructors were great in explaining the conditions, how to position and stand up, what to do and not what to do. The class was full. Would highly recommend Go Ride a Wave.
