Rain Forest and Animal Experiences Galore
We had an absolutely wonderful day! Do not miss this experience - it is absolutely amazing. The Bird and Butterfly Sanctuaries were fantastic but our favourite was the Koala House where we got photographs with Harry the Python. The gondola trip down with Diamond View (glass floor) is not to be missed!
What you can expect
Embark on a picturesque half day tour to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway. Enjoy a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Port Douglas to Kuranda. Spend some free time in the charming Kuranda Village, where you can discover restaurants, cafes and art galleries while taking in the fresh mountain air. Glide over the rivers, gorges and waterfalls of Barron Gorge National Park with admission to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
Then hop on to the iconic Kuranda Scenic Railway that weaves through the mountains with striking views of tropical surroundings and deep ravines. The tour also features a stop in Palm Cove, where you can stroll along the pristine shores and shaded paths. This perfectly paced adventure is led by friendly guides, offering a relaxed and memorable small group experience with breathtaking views of Tropical North Queensland’s natural beauty.

Incredible Day!
The Skyrail views were breathtaking and the Scenic Railway was a beautiful finish. We unknowingly got upgraded to a gold pass on the train - more room, wine, and a nice way to get to know other Aussie passengers. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly organized. He also had a really fun way to end the day (I wont spoil it). My husband’s not easily impressed and this was one of his favorite tours in Australia.

Chris was our guide and he was amazing!! Very informative with a nice touch of humour along with his little sidekick Bosun who provided a canine distraction. Can highly recommend this tour!!
