What you can expect
Short on time but keen to visit the Great Barrier Reef? This half-day cruise is the perfect way to explore the beautiful Low Isles. Departing from Port Douglas at 1.15pm, enjoy a scenic 30-minute cruise to the islands, surrounded by a calm reef lagoon.
Spend two and a half hours snorkelling among colourful coral and tropical fish, relaxing on the beach or wandering the island’s sandy tracks. Prefer to stay dry? View the reef aboard a glass-bottom boat and discover the historic lighthouse, weather station and local birdlife.
All necessary equipment is provided, including Lycra suits, snorkelling gear, flotation devices and prescription masks. Refreshing fruit, tea and coffee are served during the afternoon cruise before returning to Port Douglas at 5.15pm. This Low Isles adventure is a wonderful addition to any Port Douglas itinerary.

- Afternoon tours depart the Reef Marina, Port Douglas at 1.15pm and return at 5.15pm. Boarding commences at 1pm

- Please note - We'd like to advise that the reef displays some damage from Cyclone Jasper at the Low Isles plus some freshwater bleaching due to the flooding at the same time as Jasper. There is still coral, plenty of marine life to see as well as still being able to relax on the Island
- This vessel is cash free, sorry for any inconvenience. Please see crew on board should you wish to make a purchase and not have electronic payment available
- A cancellation fee of 100% will apply if less than 24 hours notice is given prior to departure.
- Some services may be cancelled or modified as a result of weather/tidal conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
- In the rare event that Calypso Reef Cruises needs to cancel, the guest will be provided with an alternate day or travel, offered another Reef Unlimited product, or a full refund will be provided.
- Calypso Reef Cruises also has the right to cancel a booking if the pricing is not accurately represented.

Best day
Best day! Intimate experience with only 10 guests and 3 Calypso staff members on the entire island/low isles reef. Island is gorgeous, very picturesque and quiet. Snorkelling was fun. The boat was clean and comfortable. Staff members were lovely, friendly and there to ensure we had fun but also safe. Got to swim with baby sharks, turtles and fish!
The cruise was very rushed and expansive for what we received
The cruise was very rushed and expansive for what we received. The tour guides seemed to have limited knowledge of the island, reef and Australia generally. Nice scenery, but disappointed when we arrived to snorkel as the island as it was overrun with tourists.
