I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. I didn't take part in the snorkelling but it looks like the ideal activity for families. I had been on a long and busy holiday by this point, so it provided with the opportunity to relax.

We had a very fun and magical day

We had a very fun and magical day. It was our first time out to the reefs, the crew explained the activities clearly, they were helpful and supportive throughout the day. Big thanks to Jade the marine biologist who took us on a snorkelling tour. The food was lovely. Loved the Impromptu guitar performance on deck on our way back. Would definitely book again!!

What you can expect

Explore the stunning Low Isles of the Great Barrier Reef in luxury and comfort with this full day Low Isles sailing cruise departing from Port Douglas and witness the unspoiled nature of these beautiful, marine life-rich coral cays firsthand! Featuring a fully inclusive itinerary that offers morning and afternoon teas, a tropical smorgasbord lunch and much more, this tour is one of the best ways to get an in-depth look at the workings of a reef system up close. Heading out from Port Douglas at 10am, you'll board a luxurious sailing vessel and head out onto the vibrant blue waters to the Low Isles where you'll be given a reef presentation by a knowledgeable marine biologist, who will give you a more detailed idea of the inner workings of this beautiful yet fragile ecosystem.

Follow it up by gazing directly down into the reef below on a glass bottom boat, where you'll be able to see all the spectacular coral and aquatic life through the crystal-clear waters, and then hit the water yourself as the marine biologist takes you on a guided snorkelling tour to see both of these from a wholly different vantage point. With all snorkelling equipment included and amazing scenery available at every angle, this Low Isles sailing cruise from Port Douglas lasts for 6 hours and ensures that you cover the best of this part of the reef while also getting a dose of an idyllic, postcard-perfect island environment.

Very well run day

Very well run day. The boat crew was terrific. The lunch was excellent. The boat viewing trip was very informative and fun. The day should have started earlier to allow more time to do the snorkelling and the exploring. The mid morning start should be earlier as the amount of people and trips to shore took up too much time in waiting for your turn. The life guards were good but didn't provide much assistance for the people new to snorkelling. We had to figure the gear out ourselves which took time to adjust and get right to allow for full enjoyment towards the latter part of the day. A long day would make it great rather than just good.
