- Pick ups commence from 8:40am from Port Douglas/Mossman accommodation. Drop off to Port Douglas/Mossman accommodation from 12.15pm - 1pm Afternoon Tour
- Pick ups commence from 2pm from Port Douglas/Mossman accommodation. Drop off to Port Douglas/Mossman accommodation from 5.15pm - 5.30pm
- Pick-ups available from Port Douglas and Mossman accommodation. Please provide preferred pick up location at the time of booking
- If Self-Driving, pick up available from Wildlife Habitat, Port Douglas or George Davis Park, Mossman
- Swimwear to wear under the wetsuit

- When the river level is low (most of the year), our activity is generally suitable for all ages (4+), and swimming abilities
- When the river level is higher, the faster flowing water is only suitable for strong swimming adults (15+) with good fitness and mobility
- Minimum age of participation is 4yrs and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 4-8yrs must wear a PFD
- Child seats are available free of charge
- Tour is not allowed during pregnancy
- Participants must be able to walk easily over uneven surfaces, through moving water and walk up tree roots to exit
- Wetsuits are provided up to 3XL
- Maximum weight limit applies of 110kg / 243lb
- Maximum shoe size US 13
- Please wear swimwear under clothing as there are no change rooms at the river
- Please leave all valuables and loose fitting clothing at accommodation
- Contacts are advised for those needing glasses. Prescription masks available FOC
- All adults should be confident swimming in moving water
- Guests require a reasonable level of fitness and good mobility
- Refunds are not guaranteed if you are deemed unsuitable to participate on the day of the tour River Drift Experience requirements
- All participants are required to complete a medical questionnaire and liability release form before the tour
- Not suitable if you have limited mobility or injuries e.g: difficulty walking, injured or limited movement of knees, ankle, back, shoulder etc
- Not allowed if pregnant due to risk of falling on stomach, sudden jarring movements and impacts
- Max recommended weight limit is 110kg/242lb. Due to limitations of our equipment a good level of fitness and mobility is required if you are near or over this weight While conditions do vary, all participants associated with this booking should be able to:
- Walk without having to stop or sit down to rest for up to 15 minutes
- Easily navigate uneven terrain
- Lay on your stomach and paddle for extended periods
- Walk up an incline equal to a flight of stairs without stopping
- Swim/dog paddle 15m without stopping
- Easily stand up from a sitting position on the ground, without assistance at least 3 times in a row
- Change your booking up to 72 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 72 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience.

Excellent experience that I will definitely recommend to all my friend
We did the $265 whole-day tour with both snorkelling and bush walking, and it was absolutely amazing! We have three families of 11 people in total, and Vincent was our guide. This guy is super fun and caring. Another two staff, Jayson and a lady (sorry I forgot her name) took care of us with Vincent when we were in the river. Vincent taught us how to deal with the current and had us practice one by one, and Jayson and that lady cleared the path we would drift through to make sure we wouldn’t bump onto the rocks or logs. During the snorkelling, another family saw the turtle and we saw that kind of fish that clings to the rock. We also had a very peaceful time just lying on the floats slowly washed downstream by the water. During the bushwalking, Vincent showed us the famous deadly Gympie, how one tree is sick and replaced by another one and lots of interesting things. He even brought an iPad and a book to show us Victoria’s Rifle Bird and a type of ancient tree that lived over 130 million years ago. The smoke ceremony was educative. We all paint ourselves on the arms or legs a little bit using the charcoal and the other three aboriginal people’s paints. The lunch was great, and we have water, snacks and cold towels supply. Jayson helped took the photos and sent to us for free. This is an excellent experience that I will definitely recommend to all my friends👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Amazing experience, was a perfect level of adventure and relaxation.
This was a very last minute purchase that I thought why the heck not. And I didn’t really know what to expect. I did not expect though that I would love this experience sooooo much! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, the snorkelling was amazing and the rapids were so much fun! This is a great experience to do with children, and the guide was amazing! We will definitely be back to do this again during high season when the rapids are a bit more hectic!

Such a great experience staff were friendly and very informative. Food was good, everything included. I recommend doing the helicopter ride above the reef! (Purchased on the day at extra cost). Worth every cent! A must do while holidaying in Port Douglas.
