Simply awesome
Simply awesome! An up close experience for adults & kids - we held birds, a koala and crocodile (extra cost but worth it) and patted and fed so many friendly kangaroo’s the kids were in heaven. Brekky was a great addition, it was an all round great way to spend the morning.
Must do in Port Douglas!
Wildlife Habitat is absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend it enough if you are in the area. Not only were the birds and animals all amazing, all the staff was so sweet and kind to us. The birds were so beautiful, and it was nice that all the habitats were immersive, so the birds could be right next to you with no cage. I enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and the fish. Both the koala keeper talk and the crocodile feeding demonstration were extremely informative and enjoyable. It is also nice that there is a wildlife hospital on site.
Interact with and be amazed by wildlife you have never been this close to. Handfeed Kangaroos, cuddle a Koala, swim with salties (optional extra), and explore amongst the birds. Love Australian wildlife like you never knew you could. Be the Croc Bait if you dare, swimming alongside these huge apex predators as they leap for food during daily Croc feeding shows, at the all-new Croc Arena. Spot the Southern Cassowary and amazing Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo. Discover elusive creatures of the dark in the Nocturnal Habitat and ask about our successful endangered species breeding programs. Explore five expansive natural habitats. Capture memories and snap a Feature Creature photo with a Koala, reptile or bird. Experience dining amongst free-flying birds in Curlew Café and join our daily bird interactions.
Great spot to visit
This place doubles as a wild life rescue. The bird sanctuary sections are amazing.
Great place to visit while in Port Douglas
We loved this place. It's small enough that it won't take a whole day, but there is enough to see that you can spend a few hours here. We did the "Breakfast with the Birds" activity which was really fun (food was average but the birds and koalas are adorable). Love the free flight aviary with so many birds to see. Highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area.
