Step up to the shooting stand for a fun-filled one-hour clay target shooting experience set amongst the stunning scenery of Gibbston Valley. Whether you're trying shooting for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, this welcoming outdoor activity offers the perfect mix of excitement, learning, and friendly competition.
With expert instructors by your side, you'll be guided through the basics before taking on a range of moving clay targets. Put your reactions to the test as you track targets through the air, then see if you can hit the famous "runaway rabbit" as it zips across the ground. No experience is needed, and all equipment, safety gear, and ammunition are provided.
Ideal for friends, families, couples, and groups, clay target shooting is a great way to challenge yourself while sharing plenty of laughs. Compete for bragging rights or enjoy trying something new in a safe and supportive environment. With a covered shooting stand, the experience can be enjoyed rain or shine year-round.

What you need to know
- One hour clay shooting session
- Eight automatic clay birds
- Fake runaway rabbit
- Shotguns and protective gear
- Custom designed sporting field and stand
- Safety briefing and gun demonstration
- Transport to the venue.
- Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the experience
- Available daily every 45 minutes from 9am during the winter and 10am during the summer
- 10am to 4pm during the winter session
- 9am to 5pm during the summer session
- This experience is one hour in duration.
- This experience takes place at 2696 Gibbston Highway, Queenstown, 9371.
- Please wear clothes suitable to the weather conditions on the day
- Clothing should be comfy, casual and non-restricting
- Enclosed shoes are essential
- Minimum age is 13 years old
- Maximum of six participants
- Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian
- Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, those that are will not be permitted to participate
- A minimum number of participants is required, if the minimum is not reached the experience provider will reschedule the experience
- In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider
- Enclosed shoes are essential
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
