What you need to know
- 75 minute helicopter experience taking you through Milford Sound showcasing its beauty from above before experiencing an alpine landing
- Get a bird’s eye view of iconic Milford Sound
- Experience an alpine landing
- Fly over remote, high alpine lakes and waterfalls
- This experience has a duration of 75 minutes
- This experience includes pick up from central Queenstown or meet at Heliworks Queenstown base, 64 Grant Road, Frankton.
- Wear sensible comfortable covered shoes
- Bring along or wear warm clothing, including a jacket
- Remember to bring your camera, sunscreen, sunglasses and insect repellent
- Participant changes are fine as long as the passengers are a similar weight
- Spectators are welcome wait and watch you flight take-off and land from our hangar
- Flights are weather dependent. Weather checks are to be made one hour prior to departure. If we cannot operate due to weather and as a result, passengers are unable to fly, no cancellation fees will apply
- There are wheelchair access and facilities
- A minimum of two passengers are required for most scenic flights
- Children must be accompanied by a full fare paying adult
- Experience provider reserves the right to up-grade passengers or merge flights for operational reasons or flight management purposes if required
- Occasionally flight paths or landing locations may alter at the pilot’s discretion
- For the purpose of aircraft weight and balance and in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations, we require all passenger weights at the time of booking. Once we have received and reviewed this information we will be able to confirm the booking
- Please contact the provider an hour and a half prior to departure for a weather check.
- Minimum of two participants for flights to operate.
- Cancellations within 24 hours incur a 50% fee.
- No-shows are charged 100%.
- If we cannot operate due to weather and passengers are unable to fly as a result, no cancellation fees apply.
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
