What you can expect
Soar over Benalla on a scenic glider flight that shows off Northeast Victoria from a whole new angle. Your adventure starts on the ground with a safety briefing from an experienced instructor, who takes the back seat while you settle in up front. A powerful tow plane then lifts the glider up to 4,000 feet before releasing the rope, leaving you gliding in near total silence high above the countryside.
From here you can take the controls under instruction and try your hand at flying, or simply relax and take in the patchwork of farmland, rivers and the distant peaks of the Alpine region. On the right day, your instructor may find a thermal to lift you higher still. It is a calm, memorable way to experience aviation, whether you are a keen first timer or just love a great view. Family and friends are welcome to come along, watch from close by and capture the moment as you climb aboard.

- This experience is up to 45 minutes of flight time, with the full experience taking up to two hours.

- Sunglasses
- Closed shoes, not sandals or thongs

- Sunscreen is highly recommended during summer

- Participants must be able to get in and out of the glider themselves or with a little assistance
- There is no wheelchair access into the glider, however participants of all ages can be lifted in and out with the help of accompanying family and friends
- Gliding is weather dependent and flights do not run in rain, low cloud, thunderstorms or very high winds; participants should confirm suitable conditions with the experience provider before travelling
- Participant changes are permitted with 72 hours notice so insurance cover can be transferred
- Groups of 4 are possible on most days, with groups of 4 to 8 by special arrangement
- Family and friends are welcome to attend and watch from close by
- Bookings are essential
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
