Take to the skies over Benalla on a glider flight through the wide open air of North East Victoria, where an experienced instructor guides you from the ground up. After a full safety briefing at Benalla Airfield, you launch to 3,000ft behind a powerful tow plane, then release the tow line and settle into the quiet as the glider carries you on the currents with no engine at all.
From up here you take in sweeping views across the region's farmland, townships and distant ranges, gliding in a peaceful silence that few ways of flying can match. Sit back and enjoy the ride, or have a go at the controls yourself under the watchful eye of your instructor, and if the thermals are working you may climb even higher without an engine. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch from close to the gliders, soaking up the airfield atmosphere. It is a relaxed and memorable way to see North East Victoria from a whole new angle.
