Keep your eyes peeled for some local residents who might pop their heads out to say hello. You might meet some wombats, potoroos, wallabies, echidnas and even some platypus! To conclude the day, you'll stop at Ashgrove Cheese Farm to sample some of the local produce; their famous Tasmanian cheese. Hobart to Launceston Transfer & Cradle Mountain Tour

Treetops Adventure Zipline Tours

Cruise into the magical Cataract Gorge and through Launceston's riverfront precinct. Head north past Tamar Island, historical buildings, churches, hotels and significant homesteads. Sample the rich diversity of life as we cruise past quaint riverfront communities, vineyards and farms to the notable Batman Bridge. The Tamar Valley is steeped with romance and studded with bushrangers, explorers and tales of gold diggers. Australia's longest navigable estuarine river has many natural coves and protected inlets which provide sanctuary for thousands of native water birds that can only be seen on the river.

This cruise includes morning tea, a light lunch and a cheese and fruit platter as well as local beer and wine tastings. Cruises depart from the Home Point Cruise Terminal every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday at 10am between September and May and returns at 2pm.

Tamar River Lunch Cruise

The highlight of the experience is then cruising into the spectacular Cataract Gorge as we engage the Lady Launceston's unique and silent electric drive. The 50 minute cruise departs daily from September to May at 9:20am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm and from June to August at 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm.

Tamar River and Cataract Gorge Cruise

The mystical seahorse has always been a source of immense attraction and this Tasmanian-based experience is dedicated to uncovering the secrets and conserving the delicate environmental balance of these fragile yet beautiful marine animals.
