What you can expect

Explore a diverse range of ecosystems on this leisurely three hour kayak tour from the Bega River to the sea. Paddling at the group’s individual pace, this is one experience you won’t want to rush. Take a moment to admire the scenery as you gently cruise through the shallow waters to spot azure kingfishers perched on the tree branches or white bellied sea eagles flying above.

Expert guides will lead you on a tranquil path past the forest of reeds in the lagoon to the sand pits and bush farmland of the Bega River and the connection to the open sea. Stretch your legs at the halfway point with a lovely morning tea including plunger coffee, black leaf tea and a selection of herbal teas with seasonal fruit and locally made treats to keep you energised. Kayakers of all experience levels are welcome to join this easygoing kayak tour for a relaxing half day out on the water.

  • Trained assistance animals are not permitted inside the kayaks for safety reasons
  • There are no toilets at our meeting spot, the closest facilities are Evens Park Kalaru
