What you can expect
Get up close with humpback whales while out on the water around the Sunshine Coast on this two hour whale watching cruise adventure. You'll head out for an exhilarating boat ride, and have the unique opportunity to see the whales playing in their natural environment.
Your whale watching cruise will take you on board with a small group and out onto the waterways around Mooloolaba. Enjoy the spectacular coastal views as your experienced skipper takes you through the Mooloolaba Marina towards the world-famous Mooloolaba beach, then offshore to where the whales frolic.
Look out for the majestic humpback whales on their migration as they play in the water near the boat, performing 'tricks' like breaches, loud tail slaps, spy hops and penduncle throws. This is a completely immersive whale watching adventure to tick off your list.

- Minimum age requirement of 5 years old
- Should a tour be cancelled by the Operator due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a ticket on the next available tour will be offered or a full refund rewarded
- Passengers must be 5 years or older
- A reasonable level of movement and agility is required for this experience
- This experience runs with a maximum of 20 passengers

Our whale watching cruise was unbelievable. We saw whales in every direction and they came so close. We got very lucky but we also had great operators who knew where to go and were very informative. Was perfect for the kids and felt very safe. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
This was a great experience and would highly recommend using Adventure Rafting Whale Watching. It’s out of Mooloolaba harbour. A small local family business, great fun, and value for money.
We loved the 2hr Whale Watching tour. We have used other larger companies before but thought we’d try a small local family business instead. It didn’t disappoint, our Pilot was Brendan and he was very knowledgeable and open to all sorts of quizzing! He was quite amusing too. The whole experience felt a lot more personal and the bonus is we saw a few whales in the distance but we also had one all to ourselves for most of our time, and he wasn’t too shy and happy to show off his tail and fin slaps. There’s also an underwater microphone and it was amazing to hear these beautiful creatures' song. Will definitely book these guys again.
