What you can expect
Sydney's Chinatown is full of secrets and excellent restaurants, and on this experience, you're going to see and taste a bit of everything! On this tour you'll sample a range of street foods and snacks from some of Chinatown's best restaurants, with a minimum of 4 food samples included. All samples are snacks or street foods that represent different parts of China and are designed to be eaten on the move. Vegetarians, vegans and guests with other dietary requirements are more than welcome, just let us know in advance.
This tour has a strong focus on uncovering Sydney's long connection with China, and the contributions Chinese-Australians have made to the community. You'll learn more in 2.5 hours about Australia's Chinese community than you could possibly imagine, and style games will keep it interactive and fun. At the end of the tour, you'll get a souvenir to take home, plus a great map and guide to Chinatown, covering all the best restaurants and what to order.

- This experience takes place in Chinatown (Haymarket), NSW
- The tour starts outside Paddy's Markets, directly across from the southern end of Dixon St mall (opposite the Covent Garden hotel and Emperor's Garden restaurant)
- Please try to be there 10 minutes early as we do need to start on time
- This experience departs from outside of Paddy's Markets, directly across from the southern end of Dixon St mall (opposite the Covent Garden hotel and Emperor's Garden restaurant).
- It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes as you will walk approximately 1.25 kilometres over 2.5 hours.

- This tour is great for all ages, including children
- Given the content of the stories, we recommend it for children aged 8 and above
- Accessibility: This tour is wheelchair-friendly and accessible for guests with vision-impairments
- We cover approximately 1.25km but the route is flat, with no stairs or inclines
- The total walking time is approximately 30 minutes, but with plenty of food stops along the way
- Dietary notes: Vegetarians, vegans, guests with gluten-free diets and any other dietary requirements are more than welcome just let Local Sauce Tours know in advance

- If it is raining, please bring an umbrella or waterproof jacket
- Tours never get cancelled because of rain and only if it is too dangerous to proceed with a tour
