Dance to your favourite hits of the 80’s and 90’s on the Sydney Harbour as you embrace the festivities of Vivid Sydney on a retro party boat cruise. Pull your neon, scrunchies and sweatbands out from the back of the wardrobe and get ready for the ultimate night out with appetisers, a professional DJ and a licensed bar available.
Vivid Sydney retro cruises take place during the festival from Friday, 22 May to Saturday, 13 June 2026, adding an extra level of excitement to the event. Surrounded by fun décor and memorabilia, you’ll be transported back to the colourful era with delicious hot and cold finger food served by roving staff.
Show off your best moves on the dance floor, stop by the candy bar for some goodies and admire the Vivid Sydney lights from spacious decks away from the crowds. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed, and a photographer is on board to capture those special moments. Vivid Sydney retro cruises depart from King Street Wharf at 7.30 pm. - This experience departs King Street Wharf, Darling Harbour (outside the Cargo Bar)
- The experience provider can cater for all dietary requirements, but please provide at least 72 hours notice for any specific dietary requirements
- Participants must be 18 years and over to consume alcohol; photo ID may be required
- Alcohol is not included. There is a fully licenced bar onboard - no BYO is permitted
- Boats are covered and we sail in wet weather. There is plenty of room inside for everyone to be able to dance and get a great view of the harbour
- Dress code: Neon colours, bold prints and bell sleeves... Or casual if you would prefer!
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
