What you can expect

Set off on a full-day journey from Te Anau to Dunedin, exploring the wild southern coast of New Zealand. Your tour begins with early morning pickups from central Te Anau, traveling through the scenic Southland countryside in a luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicle. Watch as the landscapes transform from alpine to coastal beauty as you enter the remote Catlins region. Stop to admire the prehistoric, petrified forest at Curio Bay and enjoy the chance to visit the enchanting Cathedral Caves if tides allow. Along the way, you’ll have time to relax in the village of Papatowai, enjoy lunch, and explore the quirky Lost Gypsy Caravan.

Continue your adventure with a short forest walk to the beautiful Purakaunui Falls, before heading to Nugget Point Lighthouse for panoramic coastal views and wildlife spotting opportunities. With water and snacks provided, this fully guided experience offers a seamless way to uncover the South’s hidden gems, including ancient forests, rugged beaches, and the beauty of the Southern Ocean.
