What you can expect
Kick back on a luxury sailing yacht to explore the secluded beaches and bays of Magnetic Island on this sailing cruise with a delicious seafood lunch. This intimate sailing experience will take passengers on a scenic Magnetic Island sailing cruise to see the local wildlife including reef fish, sea eagles, turtles, dugongs and seasonal Humpback Whales.
The yacht will anchor off and allow you to jump in for a swim at a private beach or relax on the yacht dining on local prawns, antipasto platters and organic wine and premium beers. Book your spot on this Magnetic Island sailing experience here!

What you need to know
- Four-hour sailing cruise with time for sailing, swimming, and relaxing in a secluded Magnetic Island bay.
- Locally sourced prawn & antipasto lunch (dietary requirements can be accommodated).
- Selection of premium wines, local beers, and soft/non-alcoholic drinks.
- Use of stinger suits (November to May).
- Complimentary souvenir Turkish towel.
- Ferry tickets ONLY when Ferry Ticket Included option is selected
- Transfers from Hotel.
- Ferry tickets from Townsville to Magnetic Island (unless selecting the ferry ticket included option)
- The sailing cruise departs from Magnetic Island.

- 10:00 am — Meet the Crew
- 10:15 am — Set Sail
- Set sail for one of Magnetic Island’s beautiful bays. The destination will be chosen on the day depending on weather and conditions. Enjoy approximately one hour of sailing.
- 11:15 am – 1:15 pm — At Anchor
- Relax at anchor, swim, explore the beach by dinghy, or enjoy time onboard. Lunch is served onboard around halfway through this stop.
- 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm — Sail Back to Nelly Bay
- Sail back to Nelly Bay, soaking up the scenery along the way.
- 3.00 pm - Return ferry to Townsville (if required)
- If coming from Townsville (Select: Includes Ferry Tickets option) please catch the SeaLink ferry from the Breakwater Terminal, Sir Leslie Thiess Drive, Townsville before the start of your cruise. Arrive at the SeaLink Breakwater Terminal by 9:15 am at the latest on the day of your experience. Collect your ferry tickets from the Travel Desk by quoting your name and Pilgrim Sailing. Once you arrive on Magnetic Island, make your way to the meeting point at Peppers Deck, Nelly Bay

- Sail in the beautiful waters surrounding Magnetic Island
- Anchor to explore one of Magnetic Island's secluded beaches, swim in the turquoise waters or relax on the giant inflatable with a cold beverage in hand
- Experience the local wildlife up close and personal - humpback whales (in season), batfish and other reef fish, kites, sea-eagles and turtles
- Friendly and knowledgeable crew
- Have a go at steering the yacht or learn a little about sailing
- Meet at 10.00 am in Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island
- Cruise departs at 10.15 am
- Cruise returns at 2.15 pm
- If coming from Townsville, please catch the 9.30 am SeaLink ferry to Magnetic Island.

- Magnetic Island is off the coast of Townsville in Far North Queensland (a 20-minute ferry ride from Townsville).
- If selecting the "Ferry Ticket Not Included" option, please make your own way to the meeting point below.
- If coming from Townsville and selecting the "Ferry Ticket included" option, please catch the 9:30 am SeaLink ferry to Magnetic Island and plan to return on the 3:00 pm ferry or later if you wish.
- Meeting Point: Please meet the crew at 10:00 am on the corner of the Peppers Blue on Blue deck, outside the restaurant and next to the car ferry ramp. (Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island)
- If coming from Townsville, please catch the 9.30am ferry and plan to depart on the 3pm ferry (or later if you wish).
- Locally-caught Prawns — served with lemon + house seafood sauce.
- Spicy Chicken Tacos — chicken, adobo chilli mayo, cucumber, house pickled cabbage (soft taco shells).
- Tomato Labna Salad — house labna with tomatoes, diced red onion and balsamic dressing.
- Antipasto Platter — a selection of local cheeses, crackers, cold meats and fresh fruit.
- Fresh Baguettes — baked each day.
- Dietary requirements can be accommodated.
- Swimmers, sunscreen, a hat and sunnies.
- Reusable water bottle.
- Free cancellations are permitted up to 48 hours before the scheduled cruise.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will result in a full payment of account.

Pilgrim Sailing the best experience
This is such luxurious sail, and they do sail. We had god breeze, 8.5knt solid up the Eastern side of Magnetic Island. Comfort of a beanbag on deck, dry, and smooth. Radical Bay is protected bay to anchor for lunch, feeding some big Cod that know the boat, and a swim in 24c water. Clayton and Chevaune engaging, while keeping the frinks flowing from the open bar included for the whole trip. Lunch was well, next level for variety, local prawns, meats, crusty baguette, cheeses, crackers, chicken taco, salad bowl, home made chutney, with incredible range of fruit pieces. All in a wooden tray just for you. Anove my expectations for sure.
