What you can expect
Come aboard for a day like no other as we depart Airlie Beach bright and early to catch a truly iconic Australian moment with kangaroos and wallabies at sunrise on the beach at Cape Hillsborough National Park.
Just 1.5 hours south of Airlie, Cape Hillsborough is world famous for this magical wildlife encounter. Each morning, kangaroos and wallabies make their way onto the beach to feed as the sun rises, creating an unforgettable scene that feels like something out of a postcard.
This experience is part of our EcoTourism Australia-certified tour, carefully designed to respect the animals and environment while giving you a front-row seat to nature at its finest.
Once the cameras are full and the kangaroos have hopped off, we’ll enjoy a drover's breakfast of bacon and egg damper rolls with tea and coffee.

- All passengers must wear appropriate clothing at all times
- No dangerous, illegal, or prohibited items; all bags are subject to search
- Participants are allowed one cargo bag up to 22kg and one carry-on up to five kilograms; extra bags are $15 each
- Alcohol is not permitted, intoxicated passengers cannot travel, and all alcohol must be stowed in luggage, not carried onboard
- No food or drink onboard without driver consent; no glass bottles allowed, $65 cleaning fee for soiling, and damage costs charged to the passenger
- The experience provider may cancel or alter tours in the event of emergencies, unrest, strikes, labour issues, adverse weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond their control
- Fuel Surcharge Policy: Airlie Adventure Tours reserves the right to apply a temporary fuel surcharge. A $5.00 per person fee will will apply when the retail price of diesel exceeds $2.50 per litre. This surcharge will be payable by guests at check-in prior to departure. This surcharge applies to all passengers unless otherwise stated. Fees may be introduced or removed without prior notice in line with fuel price movements. We will always endeavour to keep any additional costs to a minimum and appreciate your understanding.
