What you can expect
Discover the world of freediving with this two-day ‘Learn to Freedive’ course in Airlie Beach, Whitsundays as you advance from theory and breathwork to a single-breath ocean dive up to 20 meters. On day one of this immersive experience, you’ll begin with a comprehensive introduction to freediving theory and breathwork, followed by a pool session designed to build your skills and confidence. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to develop your freediving, expert instructors will be there to guide you every step of the way. After practising static breath holds, duck dives, turns and pool rescue drills, get ready to take on the adventure of day two.
You’ll have the chance to comfortably reach new depths of at least 10 meters as you explore the vibrant marine life beneath the surface. Once the course is complete, you’ll earn a PADI Freediver or SSI Freediving Level 1 certification to go out and expand your freediving experience confidently.

- Wetsuit and long fine hire available for $15 each day

- Weather is closely monitored and if the weather or sea conditions are unsuitable, customers will be notified as soon as possible
- If this experience has to be cancelled or rebooked for another date the status of the trip will be shared as soon as possible
- Day 1: 8:30am to 4:00pm with a break for lunch (not included)
- Day 2: 8:00am to 12:00pm times are approximate and subject to change

- A minimum age of 12 years old is required to participate in this course
- Participants must be able to swim 200 metres
- Participants must not have any medical conditions related to this activity
- Confirmation of the trip will depend on the sea conditions and weather
