What you can expect
Take to the skies on this enchanting hot air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley. Soar high above one of Australia's most beautiful locations, taking in the picturesque Victorian countryside at sunrise. After a safety briefing with your pilot, you’ll be transported to the launch site and board your beautiful hot air balloon. You’ll also get the opportunity to help prepare the balloon for take-off if you like! After 30 minutes of prep, your balloon will be ready for take-off and you’ll be flying up in the air for approximately one hour. Enjoy views of the mountains, river, and rolling landscape below as the sun rises over Yarra Valley.

- The exact time of your Hot Air Balloon flight experience will vary based upon the time of year and will be sent to you upon booking
- You will meet Picture This Ballooning half an hour before sunrise - call the Weather Check number as the exact time will be confirmed the night before your flight. It is important to be punctual.
- Please meet for your Balloon flight at Yarra Valley Lodge at 2 Heritage Ave, Chirnside Park.
- The time will be confirmed on the message & we meet at Yarra Valley Lodge, 2 Heritage Ave, Chirnside Park.
- Hat
- Sunglasses and sunscreen
- Outdoor clothes recommended (avoid whites)
- Solid shoes as the ground is often covered with dew in the early morning
- No particular level of fitness or experience is required but you must be able to stand up for the duration of the flight (approximately one hour)
- Minimum age is seven years
- Minimum height 130 cm
- Not suitable for those who are pregnant, wheelchair users or those recovering from recent surgery
- You may send someone else in your place if you wish however you must notify the provider of this replacement prior to the flight date
- The temperature in the balloon is the same as on the ground and you move with the breeze there is no wind chill factor.
- As ballooning is a weather-dependent activity you will need to check meeting time and weather conditions.
- The exact meeting time WILL NOT be the time on your booking confirmation, please DO NOT rely on this time.
- The exact meeting time will be explained by your pilot on the recorded message after 6:30 pm on the evening before your flight.
- Please call 0456 713 732 You will receive an email 2 days before your flight with details of how to access the recorded message.
- If you have not received an email by 2 days before your flight, please send an email to info@picturethisballooning.com.au
- Rescheduling or cancellation may incur fees
- No fees for rescheduling more than 7 days before flight
- $50 per person fee for rescheduling 2-7 days before flight
- A substitute participant is allowed, but the tour operator must be notified of this replacement before the flight date
- This experience offer is for one person, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 in the basket on the day
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- If your flight is cancelled, you have 36 months to reschedule your experience
- Tourists may be eligible for a cancelation
