What you can expect
Set off on the ultimate adventure combining kayaking, cruising, and coastal exploration. Your day begins in Kaiteriteri at 8.30am, where you’ll meet your guide for a safety briefing before paddling out across the sparkling waters of Abel Tasman National Park. Glide past golden beaches and rock formations, including the famous Split Apple Rock, as you paddle five kilometres at your own pace. Take breaks to rest, chat, and soak in the views before returning to shore around midday.
Next, climb aboard the Sea Shuttle for a scenic cruise showcasing the park’s coastline, bays, and wildlife, including Fur Seals basking on the rocks. Once arrived in Anchorage, enjoy up to two hours of free time to relax on the beach or walk the Pitt Head Loop Track to Te Pukatea Bay. Your adventure wraps up with a return cruise to Kaiteriteri by 4.30pm. This full-day experience perfectly captures the best of Abel Tasman National Park in just one day.

My daughter aged 9 and I joined Kaiteriteri Kayak Seals and Cruise Package. We tried to go further in the ocean by kayaking but it was not very calm so we stayed inside the area. We still enjoyed kayaking much. After that, we had hot drinks and biscuits to warm up. In the afternoon we caught the cruise and been to the north and had a short period of time on a beautiful quiet land and ship back in Kaiteriteri.
