What you can expect
The Cruise to Lunch will let you spend the day with two popular Brisbane spots the M V Neptune and the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Aboard the boat, you’ll cruise past some of the city’s best locations while taking in the beautiful surrounding views from the deck. The sights will be accompanied by informative commentary about the region as well as a morning tea to satisfy your on board cravings. The morning cruise will last for 1.5 hours until you reach your next point of call; the Breakfast Creek Hotel.
The Breakfast Creek Hotel is a popular hotspot and after a short walk from the landing dock, it is where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Plating up a range of dishes such as Rump steak, Panko Calamari and Vegetarian Parmigiana. From here you will once again board the MV Neptune to cruise back to the Cultural Centre Pontoon. If you’re chasing a day on the water that incorporates all of Brisbane’s best sights then the Cruise to Lunch with River City Cruises is your go-to experience.

River City Cruises is an excellent Brisbane River tour. I went with my Assistance Dog-in-training. The entire staff are very professional and friendly, the boat is immaculate, morning tea delicious and mostly - the commentator has an EXCELLENT voice and style: even-paced, well timed, articulate and easy to listen to and above all - interesting! The weather was just divine on the day of our tour - 100% perfect blue sunny sky. We had lunch at the Brekky Creek hotel (the staff there were equally fantastic and the manager took us through the pub on a mini-tour, the bar staff brought my dog a big bowl of water). Carolyn of River City Cruises is a wonderful host. I rate the experience 20/10. Loved it!
