Designed especially for curious minds of all ages, SparkLab features more than 40 interactive exhibits spread across three dynamic zones, each encouraging creativity, experimentation and problem-solving.
Explore real-world physics, uncover how technology shapes everyday life and engage with exhibits that turn learning into play. Visit the Science Bar for exciting live demonstrations, where expert presenters perform fast-paced experiments that captivate and inspire. Then head to the Maker Space to design, build and test your own creations, perfect for young inventors and thinkers.
Whether you’re visiting with family, friends or independently, SparkLab offers an engaging, ever-evolving experience. Ask questions, test ideas, share discoveries and think like a scientist as you explore a vibrant environment built to ignite imagination and inspire lifelong learning.

What you need to know
- Flexible entry to the SparkLab exhibit.
- Entry to other paid exhibitions within Queensland Museum.
- Available daily at every half hour between the hours of 9.30 and 3pm.
- The Queensland Museum Kurilpa is open from 9.30am to 5pm.
- This experience can be enjoyed at your own pace.
- This experience takes place at Queensland Museum Kurilpa, Level 1, at the Corner of Grey and, Melbourne St, South Brisbane, QLD 4101.
- This experience is recommended for children aged six to 13 years old
- Children must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times
- Prices are subject to change at any time
- This experience is not recommended for participants with noise or light sensitivity
- In the event tickets are lost, stolen, misplaced or destroyed, proof of identity and purchase will be required to issue a replacement ticket
- This experience runs in all weather conditions
- Not available on Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day
- Available from 1.30pm on Anzac Day
- This experience is wheelchair accessible
- There is no cancellation for this experience, it is nonrefundable.
