- The Story Bridge Adventure Climb Day Climb operates 7 days a week, making it one of Brisbane's most accessible and flexible adventure experiences. With multiple departures scheduled throughout the day, you can choose a climb time that best suits your itinerary, whether you're starting your morning with an adventure, exploring Brisbane in the afternoon or fitting the climb into a busy sightseeing schedule.
- Departure times vary throughout the year and may change seasonally or due to operational requirements. Advance bookings are highly recommended, particularly during weekends, school holidays and peak travel periods.

- Brisbane Story Bridge Adventure Climb is located at 5 Boundary Street, Brisbane QLD.
- Your Story Bridge Adventure Climb begins at our purpose-built Adventure Climb Headquarters, located beneath the iconic Story Bridge at Howard Smith Wharves, 5 Boundary Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. You'll find us between Crystalbrook Vincent Hotel and Betty's Burgers, just moments from Brisbane's CBD and the scenic Brisbane Riverwalk.
- Getting here is easy. Paid parking is available at the Howard Smith Wharves car park, with additional street parking nearby. You can also arrive by CityCat via the Howard Smith Wharves ferry terminal, by train to Fortitude Valley or Central Station, by bus to the city, or by enjoying a walk along Brisbane's picturesque riverside.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled climb to check in, complete your mandatory safety briefing and breath test (18+), store your belongings in complimentary lockers, and be fitted with your climb suit and safety harness before your unforgettable Story Bridge Adventure Climb begins.
- Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. Fully enclosed rubber-soled shoes (no heels, sandals, thongs, or leather-soled footwear). Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for daytime climbs. Any essential medication (e.g. asthma inhaler or EpiPen), which can be carried securely by your Climb Leader if required. Your booking confirmation and photo ID if requested. Please note: For safety reasons, all loose personal items, including mobile phones, cameras, smart watches, keys, wallets, and bags, must be stored in complimentary lockers before your climb. All specialist climb equipment, weather jackets (if required), and a Story Bridge Adventure Climb cap are provided.
- Participants must be at least 6 years old and 110 cm tall. Children aged 6–9 years require one accompanying adult per child. Children aged 10–16 years require one accompanying adult for every three children. Maximum participant weight is 130 kg. A zero blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is required for all climbers aged 18 years and over. A breath test is conducted before every climb. Climbs operate rain or shine. In the event of severe weather such as lightning, hail or high winds, departures may be delayed or rescheduled. All climb equipment, including a climb suit, harness, communication equipment, and a commemorative Story Bridge Adventure Climb cap, is provided. Professional photos are taken during the experience and are available for purchase after your climb. For safety reasons, personal items including phones, cameras, smart watches, bags and loose belongings cannot be taken onto the bridge and must be stored in complimentary lockers. Guests with medical conditions or mobility concerns should contact Story Bridge Adventure Climb before booking to discuss suitability. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow time for check-in, equipment fitting and your safety briefing. This experience is one of Brisbane's most iconic bucket-list adventures, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city skyline, Brisbane River, Moreton Bay, the Glass House Mountains and Scenic Rim with expert commentary from your experienced Climb Leader.
- Minimum age is 6 years
- Minimum height is 110cm
- Maximum weight is 130kg
- Not suitable for anyone with medical conditions including: neck, back, heart disorders, high/low blood pressure, recent surgery/illness/ injury, or other relevant medical conditions
- Children aged 6-16 must travel with an adult, and the ratio can be up to three children per one adult
- Climbers will also be required to pass an alcohol breath test before departure
- For the entire duration of the climb, all climbers are attached to a static line with experienced Climb Leaders ready to support and encourage those who are a little anxious whilst climbing
- Expectant mothers can climb up to 20 weeks
- Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and are only valid for the booked climb
- Gift Certificates are non-refundable
- No refund will be provided in case of booking cancellation or no-show
- Requests to change a booking (subject to SBAC management approval) may only be made to the time or date of a climb but not to the number or identity of climbers. Administration fees apply as follows:
- Requests to change a booking up to 14 days before the climb date will incur a $50 fee per booking
- Requests to change a booking within 13 days to 72 hours will incur a $25 rescheduling fee per booked climber
- Requests to change a booking within 72 hours cannot be accommodated (unless under extenuating circumstances and at SBAC’s discretion)
- In the case of purchases bought through a reseller, that reseller will be responsible for any rescheduling administration, in accordance with SBAC’s rescheduling policies
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience

Thoroughly enjoyed our climb
Thoroughly enjoyed our climb. Its not action packed but enjoyable. The staff were great. Extremely well organized and well setup. iPod commentary really interesting and iPod ensured you heard everything. View fantastic. Not as scary as you may expect so if you are a little unsure of heights don't let that stop you. Safety very much a priority including a breath test before you leave and of course harnesses all the way. Worth it for the history and view.
