What you can expect
Experience the magic of surfing on the shores of Byron Bay in a two hours and 30 minutes group lesson led by accredited surf coaches at a ratio of one to eight, giving you plenty of personalised attention in the water. Suitable for beginners and those looking to build on existing skills, each session begins with a surf safety and awareness briefing on the beach before you head into the waves with a softboard, rash vest and wetsuit all provided.
Byron Bay's range of wave breaks means there is always a wave to match your level, whether it is your first time on a board or you are working on your technique. Sessions run every morning and afternoon, seven days a week, making it easy to fit a lesson into your Byron Bay visit.

- Available seven days a week at 10am or 2pm.
- This experience is two hours and 30 minutes in duration.

- Minimum age is five years old
- Minimum two participants required per group session
- Not available on 25 December, 1 January or 25 April
- In dangerous weather conditions, including thunder, lightning or beach closures by surf lifeguards, the lesson may be cancelled; you will be contacted by the experience provider and rescheduled
- Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
