What you can expect
Embark on the ultimate surfing adventure in Byron Bay with this half-day lesson, promising an exciting and informative experience. With small group sizes, you’ll get personalised attention as you catch uncrowded waves at some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. From the moment you’re picked up, the fun begins! You’ll meet your enthusiastic surf coaches and enjoy some tunes on the way to the beach. Based on the day’s conditions, your coaches will pick the perfect beach to maximise your learning experience and provide you with a wetsuit and surfboard before you head out to catch pristine waves.
In the water with you, your coaches will refine your paddling technique, teach you how to catch and turn on waves and guide you through essential surf safety and ocean awareness. Their expertise, passion and friendly attitude make all the difference to your lesson. By the end of your 4-hour session, you’ll have picked up new skills, made friends and captured unforgettable memories. Feel the joy of surfing and even take home some action-packed photos of your lesson.

- The duration of this experience is half day.
- This experience is located at 80 Jonson St, Byron Bay NSW 2481, Australia.
- Pick up can be from either Arts Factory Lodge, Backpackers Inn, Main Bus Stop, Jonson Street, Cape Byron Lodge, Beaches Tourist Park, Lennox Head SLSC car park, Crystal Brook, Glen Villa or BP in Suffolk Park. Please arrange pick up time and location directly with experience provider.

- Participants must be able to swim at least 50m unassisted
- Surfing lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate surfers
- The minimum age is 15 years old to participate in a group lesson
- In the event of lockdown, rain or inclement weather your experience may be cancelled, you will be contacted by the experience provider and rescheduled
- You need to sign a waiver prior to participating in this experience
- Wetsuits and rash guards will be provided, as will surfboards
- Easy-to-ride learner boards are available for beginners
- The price quoted is for one person
- There will be a maximum of 20 people in the group with a ratio of eight students to one instructor
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
