Explore the best of K’gari (Fraser Island) on a two-day 4WD adventure from Hervey Bay, uncovering natural highlights across the world’s largest sand island. Travel along sandy beaches and rugged inland tracks with experienced guides as you visit iconic locations including Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek and the SS Maheno shipwreck, all while taking in the island’s incredible scenery.
Stay in an exclusive beach house, reserved for tour guests, for a comfortable and social place to unwind after a big day of exploring. Enjoy freshly prepared meals, connect with fellow travellers and even take turns driving the 4WD along designated sections for an extra dose of adventure.

What you need to know
- All drivers are required to pay a $2,500 security bond on the morning of the tour, which is fully refundable upon return if no damage occurs, or you can reduce the excess to $0 with a one-off $50 payment.

- Tours depart at 7.30am
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure
- Tours return between 6pm and 6.15pm
- Departing weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays (peak season only) and Thursdays.
- This experience is two days and one night in total duration.
- This experience departs from 6 Southern Cross Circuit, Urangan, QLD 4655.
- Free pick-ups available only from select local hostels: Kondari, Woolshed, Flashpackers, YHA & Hervey's
- Please advise your pick‑up location at the time of booking
- Tours run subject to minimum numbers, weather and tidal conditions
- Itineraries may change for safety or regulations
- Guests must follow the guide's instructions
- Vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free diets can be catered for at an additional charge of $5/day
- Guests must bring their own towel on their trip
- Participants electing to drive must be over 21 years and have held an open licence for at least two years
- No refunds for changes outside operator control
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at the time of booking.
- Upon completion of the purchase, please print the voucher and present it on the day of the experience.
