It was a packed three days. Recommended
He thought it would be difficult to travel individually, so he joined the tour. It was a great answer. The weather was good and it was a great memory for all the World Heritage Sites and National Parks. The driver and guide were not together for three days, but they were all very pleasant and cheerful people, and they were well cared for. It was also good to move around and stop by cafes along the way. Even those who are not good at walking can enjoy lunch while watching the scenery, and it seems that it can be arranged according to the customer. I wanted to trek the other way around, but after consulting with my guide, I was also allowed to try a course on Cradle Mountain that circles the mountain face. Recommended for all.
An amazing tour - not to be missed!!
This tour did everything we wanted, and more. It was very well organised and excellent value for money. We loved every minute of it. The early departures and long days enabled you to see and do so much. Historic Port Arthur was probably the highlight of the first day, although the visit to 'Unzoo" - where most animals simply roam in the natural environment - was a very special place. The scenic walk clifftop walk and various viewpoint stops were simply stunning. And Richmond and the Hobart City Lookout rounded the day off in style. Freycinet National Park and the views of Wineglass Bay from the lookout were stunning - well worth the climb up and down. Lunch at Honeymoon Bay provided an opportunity to relax in a calm and scenic environment. The final day, Cradle Mountain, was probably one of the highlights of our entire trip round Australia. All aspects of the day were simply wonderful, from the short walks to the hike around Dove Lake, where we were able to see several examples of wildlife. The guides were excellent. Day one - Dan. knowledgeable, enthusiastic and humorous. Day three - Rod. Again, knowledgeable and quietly enthusiastic about all aspects of Cradle Mountain, the environment and its wildlife. The air conditioned buses were comfortable and the baggage trailer they towed on day 2 meant there was no restrictions on luggage, ideal for us as we were on a six week trip around Australia. This trip ticks all the boxes, especially if you are limited for time. Highly recommended.
Breathe it all in on a full-day guided tour to the Cradle Mountain National Park. After departing Launceston, you’ll stop in Sheffield to see some outdoor art before heading into the alpine wilderness. With four to five hours in the park, you’ll wander the gentle Enchanted Walk, an easy 20-minute circuit following Pencil Pine Creek, then choose your own adventure from Dove Lake. You can tackle the iconic six kilometres Dove Lake Circuit beneath Cradle Mountain, which is an easy-moderate walk that takes two to three hours, or climb to Marion’s Lookout that sits at 1200m for cracking 360° views. The latter is around four kilometres but is classified as a medium-grade hike.
Along the way, spot wombats, stroll past ancient King Billy Pines, visit Weindorfers Chalet and refuel by a mountain stream. On the way back, treat yourself at Van Diemen’s Land Ice Creamery and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm. Fresh air, epic scenery and Tassie’s best day walks - book now!

A fantastic experience
Day 1 - The weather on the day of the tour was not ideal, lightly raining nearly the entire day, but I still had a lot of fun. The day started early picking everyone up from their hotels before making a quick stop shortly outside on Hobart for anyone wanting to grab a quick coffee/snack and use the restroom before getting on with the day. We made our way to the Waterfall Bay Cliff Top Walk and seeing the Tasman National Park highlights including the Devil's Kitchen and Tasman Arch. The walk itself was pretty easy. From there, we made our way to the Unzoo where we got to feed kangaroos and see a Tasmanian Devil being fed. We then went to the Port Arthur Historic Site which had two small cafes to purchase lunch from and much to see. You are free to roam about and explore as you want. The tour also included a short cruise through the bay. I personally enjoyed a glass of wine and snacks while listening to the commentary from the guide. After leaving Port Arthur, we made a stop at the Federation Chocolate Factory where we tried unique flavors of chocolates. Last stop on the trip was Richmond where we were able to walk around and explore the various shops on our own. Day 2 - The weather on the day of the tour was again not ideal, still lightly raining nearly the entire day. However, similar to the prior day, this did not detract from the overall experience much. The day started early picking everyone up from their hotels before making a quick stop shortly outside of Hobart for anyone needing to purchase lunch to take with them for the day.
