Great Guide

Our guide Nicholas was a wealth of historical information. On the way there Nick did a great job of providing background information that made our time at the site more interesting. The walk along the Tasman Peninsula was my favorite part. Beautiful!

What you can expect

Embark on a full-day guided tour from Hobart to the stunning Tasman Peninsula! You’ll kick things off with sweeping coastal views from Pirates Bay Lookout, then pass through historic Eaglehawk Neck and "The Dogline" as your guide shares tales of convicts and daring escapes. Stretch your legs on a 2km Great Short Walk along the cliffs of Waterfall Bay - an easy 45-60 minutes track leading to the spectacular rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.

Then step into Australia’s past at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site. With 30+ buildings across 100 acres and around four hours to explore, you’ll discover the penitentiary, solitary cells and more. Your entry includes a harbour cruise past the Isle of the Dead, expert site talks and 'The Port Arthur Experience' podcast. On the way back to Hobart, wander through charming Richmond - grab a coffee, visit the lolly shop and stroll across Australia’s oldest convict-built bridge. Book now!

Good way to see some really sites/parts of Tasmania

A good day out, the coastal walk at the start provided some breathtaking views. We had plenty of time to explore Port Arthur at our own pace - there are lots of interesting things to see. The stop in Richmond was a good finish with a tasty ice cream. A long day with an early start, but it was well worth it.
