Amazing walks and views!

Nathan was an amazing guide! He made everyone feel welcome and knew so much about Tasmania. The Tahune Airwalk is easy for most people to do. I enjoyed doing the Franklin River walk (50min)but wish I walked faster to fit in the Huon Pine 20minute walk. I heard that was amazing! Hastings cave was breathtakingly beautiful. Totally worth going!

Tahune Airwalk and Hastings Cave

A most enjoyable day out from Hobart, with a visit to the Tahune Airwalk with it's impressive views and lovely walk through the forest and over the suspension bridges. Then on to Hastings Cave with it's amazing formations and informative guided tour. (There was an option to swim in the thermal pool which I didn't bother with... full of wriggling children on school holiday!... although the short walk near the pool was very pleasant). Guide Nick was great company, knowledgeable, full of entertaining stories and interesting information. We stopped at a farm-gate stall on the way home and I got some of the most delicious cherries I have ever tasted! Recommended!

What you can expect

Breathe in that fresh Tassie air as you embark on a full day guided journey south of Hobart through the lush Huon Valley to Tahune Forest Airwalk. Climb 104 forest steps and wander 619 metres along the cantilever, soaring 40-50m above the Huon River for jaw-dropping World Heritage views. Keen explorers can tackle the 100m and 60m swinging bridges, or enjoy the easy 20-minute Huon Pine Walk among ancient 2,500-year-old trees - perfect for little adventurers and big kids alike.

Then it’s off to Hastings Caves for a dip in the 28°C Thermal Springs pool (with hot showers and change rooms available), a wander along the Hot Springs Nature Trail - keep an eye out for platypus - and a guided 45-minute cave tour through spacious chambers at a cool 9°C. Travel through orchards and farmlands, with seasonal roadside fruit and honey stops on the way home. Book now!

Great for short trips to Hobart

Beautiful forest, informative, interesting with the Huon river the centre piece. Pleasure to walk into the forest and even spotted a Lyrebird
