What you can expect
Reach exciting new heights with a hot air ballooning flight over the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine region. Nothing compares to the feeling of taking off and soaring high above the ground as the rising sun lets you know the day is officially beginning.
Your hot air ballooning adventure takes place over the spectacular Hunter Valley region of New South Wales just 120 km north of Sydney. On the morning of your hot air balloon ride, you'll arrive bright and early and be taken through a safety briefing. Then your ballooning adventure really begins! You'll be in the air in no time; one moment you'll be just a few feet above the trees, and the next you'll be thousands of feet up looking down on the valley below. Enjoy the scenic views of the vineyards, mountain ranges and local wildlife as you float through the valley watching the sunrise.
Following your flight of approximately one hour, all passengers return to the Blaxland Inn where you'll enjoy a champagne breakfast to toast your flight.

- Outdoor clothes are recommended (avoid whites)
- Solid shoes as the ground is often unevenly covered with dew in the early morning
- It is often warmer in the balloon than on the ground
- Bring sunglasses and a cap
- Bring your camera or phone to capture the amazing views
- You must be able to stand up for the duration of the Hot Air Balloon Flight, which is approximately 45-60 minutes
- Please advise of any medical condition that may preclude you from flying such as serious knee, hip or back problems, recent surgeries or broken bones
- Hot Air Balloon flights take place at sunrise - the exact time of your Hot Air Balloon flight experience will vary based on the time of year and will be sent to you upon booking
- Flights will be cancelled if the weather is not suitable to conduct a safe flight (including strong winds, rain, fog or an unstable atmosphere)
- Flight status will be advised the afternoon before your scheduled flight
- Maximum weight 130 kg
- Minimum height 120 cm
- You must be able to stand up for the duration of the Hot Air Balloon Flight, which is approximately 45-60 minutes
- Please advise of any medical condition that may preclude you from flying such as serious knee, hip or back problems, recent surgeries or broken bones
- Those more than 12 weeks pregnant cannot participate in ground activities relating to inflating and deflating the balloon and are not permitted to fly in the balloon
- The minimum age for this experience is seven (Children must be accompanied by a participating adult)
- Changes over 36 hours prior to flight date: Non-refundable fee of $25.00 per passenger change fee
- Changes within 36 hours prior to flight date: Non-refundable fee of $50.00 per passenger change fee
- Changes after receiving a flight status confirmation message from the provider (day prior before 5:30 PM): Non-refundable fee of $100.00 per person
- Any booking altered within 72 hours will be at the discretion of the experience provider and dependent on flight availability
- Cancellations within 72 hours of the flight date: Full fare per passenger will be forfeited and will not be refunded
- Cancellations outside of 72 hours of the flight date: Cancellation fee of $50.00 per passenger
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience

Highly recommend, safe and relaxing.
We experienced our first hot air balloon ride, many thanks to experience Oz and beyond ballooning for making our dream come true. The ride is highly recommended as i feel its safe, peaceful, and a memorable experience. The weather was cloudy due to overnight rains, and we could not experience the sunlight, but we still enjoyed the views in the pleasant weather and the feeling that we hit the clouds felt special. The crew was professional, helpful. They also click several pictures prior to launching and mid air, which are shared after. Post flight breakfast was delicious. We had buffet with several options, most were amazing. After landing, we helped crew wrap the balloon. So ensure to avoid wearing light colour garment or footwear which might get stained post landing in the fields and while wrapping the equipment.

From the team members who had greeted myself and my fiancée on arrival, to the great Les with his wonderful sense of humour who drove us to the take off destination, to our pilot flying and landing us safely. What a beautiful experience. Take off and landing were both smooth and our pilot Danny took the time to explain the flying procedure thereafter. After landing, we were escorted to breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Thank you Beyond Ballooning for making my fiancées birthday gift an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend them and will definitely be back again. Exceptional staff!
