What you can expect

Step back in time at the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site, one of Australia’s most compelling windows into its convict past. Once a prison for re-offending male convicts, Port Arthur offers a vivid insight into penal life, convict labour, and the colony’s early development.

Wander through over 30 historic buildings and ruins set within 100 acres of beautifully maintained gardens, and uncover stories that shaped the nation. Take in the scenic harbour cruise, a highlight of any visit, offering stunning views of the site from the water, including the Isle of the Dead and the remnants of Point Puer, Britain’s first purpose-built boys’ prison.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply seeking a remarkable day out, Port Arthur promises a memorable journey into Australia’s colonial heritage. This tour is an unmissable experience for local and international travellers alike.

Great place to visit but it was massive so come prepared!

Love how easy it was to use the booking system. And once we arrived it was quick and easy. Just tell them my last name with who we booked with. But do come prepared the place is huge. The cruise ride was pretty good and relaxed. They also had free tour for the day which was good!
